Take a Leap
Just do it! Get on board. You’re going to have to do it sooner or later.
These were a few, among many, thoughts I had while surrendering to streaming and a cell phone only existence. There was no other choice, so I jumped in.
The leap was and continues to be traumatic!
I dislike this fast pace, speed talking, push a button. . . data collection, artificial intelligence life style.
Do you?
And Streaming aka screaming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The learning curve is high. But my cable bill was $246.
So let’s talk about AI.
Someone else writing your term paper is plagiarism. Am I wrong?
I was befuddled to learn WordPress now offers an AI component to help bloggers write a post. An individual’s uniqueness is what readers like. Will this have a cookie cutter effect? Personally, I will not put my name on someone else’s work, especially if it enhances, and enriches my writing.
In my opinion, that would be cheating.
I would love to hear your thoughts.
. . . just saying

Kathe, It takes me an hour to find something good to watch. Last night I watched a doc/movie on Shirley Chisholm. It was great.

First of all, what you read from me is all me, no assistance needed (except for the occasional glance at a dictionary). How could something “artificial” be better? Second, I feel your pain with the cable bill. Two years ago I stuck an antenna on the roof. The local stations come in clear as a bell (except when there’s interference). So now we only pay for internet service and a phone, because my wife will not use her cell phone. We stream Amazon Prime, since I pay for it anyway because we are frequent buyers. I’m also getting Apple TV+ free for three months, so there’s more than enough stuff to watch. But yeah, life was simpler when all we had was a set of rabbit ears, and a corded land line. I think back then we used to read books and talk to each other except for when Ed Sullivan or Bonanza was on.

Thanks for sharing. Like your wife I did not use my cell at home. . . but now I run around looking for it. I’ve heard about the rabbit option. Yes one of my pass times was looking for a four leaf clover.

So true, and we used to actually speak to each other. 🤷🏽♀️

Claudia, that is not for real writers like you. You are an original, there is no other writer just like you. These programs are to help students who are trying to complete projects quickly because now school assignments for something written are given at the end of the class and expected to be submitted tomorrow. One of my granddaughter’s teachers told the class she used the internet to grade their essays! My granddaughter was punished for originality. Go figure…

Chris, Thank you for weighing-in. Sad to hear what is happening to education. I have a image of only robots surviving. . .just saying, Claudia

I agree, Claudia. Using artificial intelligence would be for me mate, plagiarism, putting my name to somebody else is writing. When I first started using WordPress in 2011, it was to record thoughts, feelings, and happenings and hopefully to garner some comments from like minded people. But since the introduction of Jetpack WordPress has changed and I find I am writing less and less on it.

Judith, I’ve never understood Jetpack. I’m writing less and less because it’s hard to find humor in the world. . . just saying

I do my own thing. I don’t share tons, but what I do is my own. I can’t help but think that AI is like crypto-currency, basically a scam. It just plagiarizes, it has no choice: the only sources it has are existent material. I don’t think the world needs more regurgitated content, there’s plenty of that out there already. Just sayin’…

Thank you. Nicely put, now that you said it . . . a scam. Claudia
